Puerto Vallarta

Antropology

I visited Antropology on a Friday night while on a brief trip to Puerto Vallarta. The club advertised a 9:00 pm opening, but didn’t open until 10:30 pm. I noticed the same late start the next night as I walked by a little before 9:00 and no one was there, the lights were off, etc. So late start granted, maybe it’s a Mexican thing. The cover is $50 (Pesos) about $4.50 US. I picked up a card for the club near the main gay hotel, Blue Chairs, that got me in without a cover.

The club is upstairs from a main street in PV, next to the river. It is nicely furnished, clean and well-lit. Before the boys took their turns on the bar/stage stripping nude, they were circulating around the bar pressing themselves on the patrons and asking for tips. Most of the boys were on the muscular to beefy side. There were about twenty around the club that evening.

As each onetook his turn, he then circulated again, this time nude, or nearly nude, allowing quite a range of touching and fondling and offering privates “upstairs” for $500 (Pesos) for fifteen minutes. Although it sounds like a lot, it is a bargain compared to US prices. One very nice young man came up to me while I was sitting at the bar and laid his erect penis on my lap, gave me a brief massage and asked if I wanted a private.

As others circulated, I sometimes felt hustled, sometimes genuinely offered. One guy was a little put off when I indicated I wasn’t interested after he got a little pushy.

The crowd was a mix of Mexicano’s and gringos. The atmosphere was friendly, the music not too loud. In all it seemed a friendly, safe place, a venue put together to bring nude male strippersto tourists and locals alike. I would recommend it.
